Expo City Dubai opens to the public

Health, technology and innovation at the center of the new city of the future

After 5 months from the end of Expo 2020 Dubai, the Expo site that has welcomed millions of people from all over the world has today opened to the public.

Is called Expo City Dubai and it is one new city of the future ready to welcome families, companies and visitors. The official opening will take place in October.

Just like any neighborhood in Dubai, visitors can stroll through most of Dubai's public spaces for free Expo City Dubai. 

Tickets to access some of the most famous sites of the Expo, such as Terra - The Sustainability Pavilion, Alif - The Mobility Pavilion and the impressive Garden in the Sky, can be purchased online or on site at a cost of Dh50. Admission is free for children up to 12 years and for people with disabilities.

They will reopen in October Al Wasl Plaza and Surreal water and will be free and on a first come first served basis. Both venues can be rented for private events.

"The site that hosted an outstanding world exhibition for six months is in transition to become Dubai's new urban destination," he told The National. "For the official opening, the priority is to ensure that Expo City offers visitors a welcoming experience: from setting up the ticket offices and adequate parking, to completing the pedestrian walkways".

It will be possible to relive the magic of Expo aboard the Expo Train, a golf car or by bicycle. 

Health, fitness and wellness. On the site there are 10 kilometers of cycle paths, 5 kilometers of running tracks and 45,000 square meters of parks and gardens.

Cars are not allowed.

The development of the new city will prioritize health, technology, innovation, business partnerships, education and community interaction.

The goal is to attract multinationals, start-ups, government organizations and academia. Several companies including Siemens, DP World confirmed the creation of a headquarters.

The return of the Expo School program which during the exhibition semester welcomed over one million students from all over the United Arab Emirates.
