A few days before the start of the universal exhibition, Expo 2020 Dubai has unveiled the “Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub”: a space of 5,400 square meters to bring together people, communities and nations in the name of sport and well-being. The polo, located within the site, is the beating heart of Expo 2020 Dubai's sports program to promote physical activity as a healthy lifestyle.

The space includes a multi-sport area for basketball, volleyball, tennis; a soccer field; 'Big Bash' cricket nets, an indoor fitness studio and large LED screens.
And not only. Events, competitions and all kinds of athletic and wellness activities will take place during Expo 2020 Dubai with the involvement of the participating countries. Italy, thanks to partnership between the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, will organize sporting events and workshops to promote and enhance motor activity as a model oriented towards prevention, sustainability and correct lifestyles. Australia will also be present with a series of Skills and Drills sessions at the Sports, Fitness and Wellness Hub and the Hungary Pavilion will host a teqball tournament - a new ball-based sport - and present a program for the development of school sports. . New Zealand will organize Les Mills Live fitness sessions, the famous brand that employs an international team of doctors and experts in sports physiology.

Partnership
Expo 2020 Dubai will collaborate with the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) in organizing numerous events, including The Expo Run, which will be held on Friday 19 November, with the participation of about 5,000 runners over distances of 10 km, 5 km or 3 km. Prominent names from the world of sports will be in attendance to kick off sporting events, such as legendary basketball exhibitionists the Harlem Globetrotters who will help launch the Dubai Fitness Challenge at Expo 2020.
Expo has also partnered with the Indian Premier League cricket team Rajasthan Royals and the world of football with City Football Group and AC Milan.
