Just over 1 month to go Expo 2020 Dubai, the universal exhibition will be held in the region of the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. The italian Ministry of Health will be present. It was signed on Memorandum of Understanding between Italian Ministry of Health and the Commissioner for Italy's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai which promotes topics such as the new applications ofArtificial intelligence to the human health in the post-pandemic context, the sustainability of health systems, nutrition, health, precision, and gender medicine. This was announced by the ministry itself, after the signing of the agreement signed by Commissioner Paolo Glisenti and Minister Roberto Speranza.
“Today the principle that must guide health policies is that linked to the One health vision. In other words, the well-being of humans is closely linked to the health of the entire ecosystem. The Dubai Expo will be an opportunity to discuss the policies to be implemented in the light of the dramatic experience with Covid-19, starting from the fact, now clear to everyone, that these challenges can only be overcome together ". The words of the Health Minister Roberto Speranza
The protocol also aims to enhance the Italian participation in the Dubai Universal Exposition through the promotion of best practices related to the digital transition of medicine, innovations in the doctor-patient relationship and in proximity medicine as well as personal data protection.
Nutrition and health at the center of the universal exhibition which will bring together over 190 countries.
"The topics of health protection, the right to healthy and safe food, sustainable agriculture, the use of water resources, are at the center of the initiatives of the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai - commented Glisenti -. Our events, which will have a scientific, educational and cultural character, will be inspired in particular by the Goals of the 2030 Agenda, actively involving schools, universities, research centers, national and international communities ".
During the exhibition semester, the Ministry will promote the organization of a United Nations International Conference on the Decade of Action on Nutrition, to enrich and structure the debate on Sustainable Development Goals linked to the importance of healthy diets, starting from the principles of the Mediterranean diet.
Also, during Expo 2020 Dubai will be held a International conference on the protection of fragility and the sustainability of health systems, targeted to involve the largest number of partners in the drafting of a joint declaration in support of the diffusion of gender medicine.
